Andy Lehrer is a Toronto based writer, researcher and editor. Andy Lehrer has been involved in a number of political issues including the international solidarity movement against apartheid in South Africa, the pro-choice movement, anti-racism and the tenants rights movement as well as in activism in support of public health care and in opposition to privatization. As a university student, Andy Lehrer organized a rally and silent march through the university Senate of over 1,500 students against tuition increases. Andy Lehrer was a member of the University Senate for two years as well as a member of the student (AMS) assembly and the AMSĀ  Inc. Board of Directors, the latter of which oversaw one of the largest student run business corporations in Canada. Andy Lehrer is a graduate of Queen's University and has also taken courses at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. In 2009, he conducted a series of interviews for rabble.ca with the candidates for the leadership of the Ontario New Democratic Party.
